Local Amenities

The local town of Dinas, just 3 miles from Newport, was once a bustling village and very popular with Sea Captains who built many of the stone houses that are still visible all over the village. These days, its much quieter but offers the visitors to Fishguard Bay resort eveything they need for their holiday. There are two pubs (The Free Masons & The Ship Aground), fish and chip shop (Moby Dicks), general stores (Kiel House), garage (closest fuel to Newport) and a tennis court. For a wider selection of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, Newport is just 5 minutes drive away.

Throughout Pembrokeshire you’ll find every form of outdoor activity including adventure parks, theatres, cinemas, boat excursions, fabulous places to eat and beautiful towns and villages to explore. Wander the Preseli Hills and find the source of the famous Stonehenge bluestones, marvel at the birthplace of the first Tudor king Henry VII, Pembroke Castle, or the equally iconic cathedral at St Davids, Britain’s most compact and bijou city.

Marloes Sands

For a day out, visit Marloes Sands, 30 miles from the park. It is a remote sandy beach near the village of Marloes boasting around 2 miles of glorious sand and surrounded by cliffs. When walking along the beach, you get great views of Skokholm Island and Gateholm Island.
