Llandudno Colywn Bay Holiday Parks
Lodges, Caravans, Camping & Touring Parks in Colwyn Bay
Llandudno Colwyn Bay is a beautiful coastal region in North Wales stretching from Penrhyn Bay in the west to Rhyl in the east. There are 6 holiday parks in Colwyn Bay which are very popular during the summer as the area boasts wonderful beaches, quaint villages and wonderful countryside being on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park.
Similar to may Euopean seaside resorts, there is a long promenade that connects Old Colwyn to Penrhyn Bay - ideal for an evening stroll at sunset. From the promenade, you can access the stunning beaches, pier and harbour at Rhos-on-Sea.
Both Colwyn Bay and Rhos-on-Sea have plenty of shops, bars and restaurants plus the local area is packed with things to see and do. There are a few golf courses close by and plenty of hiking and mountain biking trails in the Snowdonia National Park. If you like watersports or want to learn new skills, head to the Porth Eirias centre. Here, you can learn how to sail, windsurfing, kayaking, canoeing and even paddleboarding. For some history and culture, you can explore nearby castles such as Gwrych Castle and National Trust properties.
Colwyn Bay beaches are some of the best in Wales with some reaching the prestigious status of Blue Flag. The main beach is the 3 miles stretch of golden sand that follows the promenade but there are plenty more including the dreamy beach Pensarn which is a little quieter. Most of the beaches along the bay offer close by refreshments and showers so that you don't take the beach back to your holiday home!
Welsh Mountain Zoo
The Welsh Mountain Zoo is set high above Colwyn Bay. It’s a caring conservation zoo, with many rare and endangered species from around the world including snow leopards, red pandas, Sumatran tigers, chimpanzees and Californian sea lions.
