A short walk for Padstow Holiday Village by footpath will take you in to Padstow and you're just 10 minutes from Mawgan Porth beach. The town is based around the pretty harbour with Padstow being a bustling mix of fisherman's cottages and merchant's houses. Fishing has declined over the centuries  and been replaced by Padstow establishing itself as one of Cornwall's premiere holiday resorts and foodie Mecca. Less than 10 minutes walks along the coast path from the harbour .St George's Cove, a huge strentch of golden sand. Tregirls and Hawker's Cove are fantastic family beaches and that's before you explore Rock, just a 5 minute ferry ride across the river.

Prideaux Place has a dominant view over Padstow. This Elizabethan country house, gardens and deer park was built in 1592 and is still owned by the Prideaux Family.

The Camel Trail is one of Cornwall's best known recreational trails. Following the route of the route of the former North Cornwall Railway it's a pleasingly flat trial on foot or bike along all of it's 17 mile route. Beginning in Padstow before passing through Wadebridge,Bodmin and finally the village of Blisland on Bodmin Moor the trail follows the course of the River Camel revealing stunning scenery and Cornwall's mining heritage and there is plenty of wildlife to spot too.
